After over a year of public hearings and study, the New Jersey State Bar Association's Task Force on Judicial Independence has released its recommendations about steps needed to preserve the judicial branch as a pillar of democracy. Now, an esteemed panel of judges, lawyers, scholars, legislators and journalists discuss whether changes can or should be made to address the incursion of the executive and legislative branches on the judicial branch of government.
